ouch...

Ok, let me first say that NO, that is NOT my foot, but I feel like this is what I have on the bottom of my left big toe when I walk! How? Why? Well, I did it. I did what I was complaining about missing in my last post - took a dance class. I guess I just forgot that since I havent taken class in so long, my feet are not quite still accustomed to rubbing on a marley floor for a continuous hour and a half. So, maybe it is kinda my fault for not wearing shoes. Whatever. The class was awesome. Our combo portrayed the emotion of breaking down the walls of your lover, while being scared and uncertain yourself, but of course....you walk away at the end. Hmmm....I think my teacher has some issues because I am pretty sure that was the theme of his combo in March when I last took class. So now I have this heinous blister on my foot and the worst part about it all was looking for the picture for this post. Please try image googling the words "blister toe" and see what you come up with.

I miss this...

Life is not the same without the love of my life...dance. I was walking by Madison Square Garden today and noticed The Rockettes up on the big screen and thought to myself..."I should TOTALLY audition for that." haha, ok, so I am not going to (sorry to disappoint, Sarah) but I do plan on taking a ballet class atleast this weekend. My body is craving movement!!! Below are some of my favs as well as some great reminders why dance is GREAT. I heart DANCE.

Where am I?

I got on the subway tonight and couldnt believe my eyes! The ENTIRE subway car was covered with forest designs with a waterfall and everything! I actually felt like I was out of New York and back in sunny so-cal at Disneyland waiting in line for the Jungle Cruise. I peeked into the next car and saw an under-the-sea sub adventure. What a dream! My commute home tonight was the BEST it has EVER been. Well, except for maybe the Charlotte Diamond night.

my childhood makes an appearance on the redline 2 train...

So, there I am. Sitting on the uptown 2 train heading home after a long day at work. Out of the corner of my eye I spot a dead-ringer look-a-like to my favorite singer of my childhood - Charlotte Diamond. I immediately thought about how jealous I was that Megan Dachtler got invited up on stage in 1991 at her concert at the Civic Center in B-town. She was always a lucky girl. I believe it was for the very popular hit "Love Bug." I laughed to myself thinking that I havent even thought of Charlotte since first grade and now here she was - right in front of me in the crowded subway car.
Then my eyes shifted to a man in a yellow rain coat. I couldnt believe it. His outfit was the EXACT costume I wore for "The Fisherman and His Wife" - an obvious hit at our Buena Vista Elementary school play in 1995. I remembered how pissed I was that I didnt get the lead role and had to wear the UGLY yellow rain coat and carry a fishing pole.
What are the odds? At least I was entertained by the funny details of these childhood events in my head on the way home. And realized that I must have been a very jealous child.

Not the same...

I miss my girls! This pic was taken on Shan's last weekend when we went to Atlantic City and gambled our lives away (ok...maybe just Sarah, and me a little). But anyway...I miss them and wish that we could reunite soon. I LOVE YOU, bias!

Photo shoot with the MOE

The Moe

K, these are obviously not the pictures, but hopefully we will have some shots soon. This is just to document our fabulous night!

It was so fun to get dressed up and pretend that we were on America's Next Top Model. Ha! Tyra would be proud. "It's not like this, but like this!"
